ESPN launching new daily ‘SportsCenter’ show on Disney+

In an exciting update for sports fans, ESPN is gearing up to launch a brand-new show called “SC+” exclusively on Disney+.

Set to debut on March 3, “SC+” promises to deliver top sports news, insights, and commentaries in a fast-paced and concise format. The show will be available for daily streaming on Disney+ for U.S. subscribers, with each episode livestreaming on weekday mornings at 9 a.m. ET and staying on the platform for 24 hours.

Gary Striewski and Randy Scott will take on hosting duties for “SC+” on weekdays and continue to anchor the 7 a.m. ET edition of “SportsCenter” on ESPN. On weekends, viewers can expect Hannah Storm and Jay Harris to lead “SC+” alongside their “SportsCenter: AM” program.

Drawing inspiration from the popular “SC Top 10” daily countdown, “SC+” will offer a roundup of the day’s most significant sports news stories, complete with commentary from ESPN reporters.

According to SVP of studio and entertainment Mike Foss, the show aims to blend ESPN’s prestigious “SportsCenter” brand with the creative energy of Disney+. With a commitment to delivering unforgettable sports stories daily, “SC+” is poised to capture the attention of both die-hard sports fans and those seeking a new entertainment option after finishing their latest series binge.

Disney+ president Alisa Bowen expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that subscribers can look forward to daily doses of the most thrilling sports news, moments, and stories.

The addition of “SC+” further expands ESPN’s offerings on Disney+, where subscribers can already access content from ESPN+ and Hulu, including live sports events, studio shows, and ESPN originals. With the launch of “SC+,” Disney+ subscribers can anticipate a daily dose of excitement and insight from the world of sports.
