Can’t stop thinking about Robert De Niro’s divisive Netflix series Zero Day

Robert De Niro’s new Netflix series, Zero Day, has definitely sparked some conversations. The show marks a rare TV appearance for De Niro, who plays a troubled former President. As someone who enjoys political thrillers on Netflix, I was looking forward to seeing how this one would turn out. Netflix has a good track record with shows like The Night Agent and The Diplomat, so I had high hopes for Zero Day.

However, things seem a bit mixed when it comes to the reception of Zero Day. With only a 56% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from the critics, it seems like opinions are divided. This can be a bit disappointing, especially considering the success of other thrillers on the platform. As I make my way through the series, I find myself a bit unsure of how I feel about it. I’m currently three episodes in out of six, so hopefully, I’ll have a clearer opinion by the end.

It’s always tough when a promising series doesn’t quite hit the mark with critics. Zero Day, despite its impressive cast including Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons, seems to be falling short of expectations for many viewers. Given the star power involved, it’s understandable that some may still be holding out hope for the show despite the less-than-glowing reviews.

As a fan of political thrillers, I was really hoping for Zero Day to deliver. But based on its performance so far, it may not make it to a second season. It’s disappointing when a show doesn’t quite live up to its potential, especially when it has such talent behind it.

While I was hoping to write a more positive review, I’ll have to withhold my judgment until I finish the series. As of now, it probably won’t make it onto the list of best Netflix shows. But hey, everyone’s taste is different, so it might be worth giving it a shot this weekend and seeing what you think.
