T-Mobile Alerts Customers About Netflix Price Adjustments; Offers Free Basic Plan
Netflix recently announced that they will be increasing prices on all of their plans, despite reaching record subscriber and revenue numbers in the previous quarter. This news can feel a bit awkward considering the circumstances. But, let’s break it down for T-Mobile customers who might be wondering about their “Netflix on Us” benefit and how the change will affect them.
T-Mobile started texting customers to outline how the price increase would impact their plan benefit. If you are on the “Standard with Ads” plan, which is now $7.99, up from $6.99, T-Mobile will cover this increase entirely, and customers will not see any change in their bill. T-Mobile has already updated its FAQ to reflect this new $7.99 per month perk.
For customers on higher-tier plans, like the Premium subscription at $24.99 per month, T-Mobile will cover $6.99 of it, leaving customers with an $18 bill. Similarly, for the Standard plan now at $17.99 per month, customers will owe $11 per month after T-Mobile’s contribution.
These adjustments will go into effect starting February 20. So, T-Mobile subscribers, rest assured that although prices are going up, T-Mobile has your back with their Netflix benefit.
