This series has been a huge success, with nearly 15 million households tuning in since its debut on Paramount+ in November 2024, making it the most-watched series ever on the platform. But all good things must come to an end, and fans will have to bid farewell to Billy Bob Thornton’s character, Tommy Norris, soon. The season finale of Landman will be available to stream on Jan. 12, so mark your calendars!
Set in the oil-rich lands of West Texas, Landman is a modern-day saga of fortune-seekers in the world of oil rigs. The show explores the lives of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires, whose activities are so massive they’re reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics. Thornton’s character, a crisis executive at an oil company, is at the center of it all, dealing with a mix of professional and personal challenges. New episodes of Landman premiere every Sunday on Paramount+. The upcoming final episode, titled “The Crumbs of Hope,” will be released on Jan. 12. As for the burning question of whether there will be a Season 2, Paramount+ has not yet made an official announcement.
