Peacock Executive Kelly Campbell Departs
Kelly Campbell, who was the president of Peacock and direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal, is stepping down from her role according to two inside sources. It seems like NBCU won’t be filling her position directly, at least for now. Unfortunately, NBCU has chosen to stay quiet about this change.
Campbell was a big hire for Peacock back in 2021, coming from Hulu where she was the president and CMO. Before that, she had been working in marketing at Google for ten years. Under Campbell’s leadership, Peacock has grown to 36 million subscribers in the U.S., thanks to its coverage of major NBC Sports events like the Paris Olympics and an exclusive NFL playoff game last winter. It’s worth noting that Peacock is only available in the United States.
