In case you missed it, last week brought some exciting news from Baltimore! From the appointment of Live Baltimore’s new executive director to updates on the city’s business and development scene, here’s a quick roundup of what’s been happening.

First up, we’ve got the scoop on some of the construction projects and trends that made waves in the urban landscape of Baltimore in 2024. It’s been a busy year for development in the city, with new projects popping up all over the place.

Next, we’re thrilled to share that Meghan McCorkell will be taking the reins as Live Baltimore’s new executive director starting in February 2025. The announcement of her appointment was just made by the organization’s board, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to the table.

And over in New York City, a familiar face is taking on a fun new role. Filmmaker John Waters, known for his eclectic work, is lending his voice to a character named Mr. Blizz as part of Nordstrom’s “Blizz on 57th Street” campaign. Alongside actor Fran Drescher, Waters is bringing these characters to life in a unique way.

Last but not least, foodies in Baltimore had plenty to celebrate this year with the opening of Cece’s Roland Park and other notable restaurants. It’s been a delicious year for dining in the city, with plenty of new spots to check out.
