The Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) has revealed the list of nominees for its 6th annual awards event, set to take place on February 12, 2025, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
In the category of Outstanding Original Score for a Studio Film, notable nominees include Clément Ducol for “Camille – Emilia Pérez” on Netflix, Hans Zimmer for “Dune: Part Two” from Warner Bros. Pictures, and Harry Gregson-Williams for “Gladiator II” from Paramount Pictures.
For Outstanding Original Song for a Dramatic or Documentary Visual Media Production, songs like Andrew Wyatt, Lykke Li, and Miley Cyrus’s “Beautiful That Way” from “The Last Showgirl” and Bear McCreary’s “Old Tom Bombadil” from “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” have been recognized.
Additionally, the category of Outstanding Original Score for a Television Production features talents such as Atticus Ross, Leopold Ross, and Nick Chuba for “Shōgun” on FX, Bear McCreary for “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” on Amazon Prime Video, and Blake Neely for “Masters of the Air” on Apple TV+.
