Amazon Prime Video Limits Streaming to 5 Devices Per Account from January 2025
Have you heard the news? Amazon Prime Video is making some changes to how many devices you can connect to your account. Starting in January 2025, they’re limiting it to 5 devices per account, down from the previous limit of 10. Plus, now you can only have 2 TVs streaming at a time as part of those 5 devices.
If you’re wondering how to manage your devices under this new policy, don’t worry. Amazon Prime Video says you can head to your settings page to make any adjustments you need. If you find yourself needing to connect more than 5 devices, you might have to consider purchasing an additional subscription.
In India, an annual Amazon Prime subscription is priced at Rs. 1,499. But there are also monthly and three-month plans available if that suits you better. With a Prime membership, you get perks like same-day and one-day delivery, cashbacks on certain card purchases, and early access to deals. Plus, you’ll have access to Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Gaming, and Prime Reading.
To sweeten the deal, Amazon also offers a Prime Lite plan for Rs. 799 a year. With this plan, you get all the same benefits as the standard subscription but Prime Video content is restricted to mobile phones at a maximum resolution of 720p.
So, if you’re a Prime member in India, keep all these changes in mind as you enjoy your favorite streaming content on Amazon Prime Video. And remember, if you have any questions or need help managing your devices, you can always visit your account settings for more information.
