“Sesame Street” fans, listen up! Big changes are coming for the beloved children’s TV show. HBO parent company Warner Bros. Discovery has decided not to renew the deal that allowed new episodes to stream on HBO. What does this mean for the show’s future? Well, starting in January, the 55th season of “Sesame Street” will be the last to stream on the Max platform.

Since 2015, HBO has been the go-to spot for new “Sesame Street” episodes before they air on PBS. But now, things are shifting. A Max spokesperson explained, “Based on consumer usage and feedback, we’ve had to prioritize our focus on stories for adults and families. And so new episodes from ‘Sesame Street,’ at this time, are not as core to our strategy.”

So, what’s next? “Sesame Street” will need to find a new streaming home for future episodes. Stay tuned to see where the iconic show will pop up next. The adventure continues for Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and the rest of the gang!
