Abbott Elementary Holiday Special: Total Viewers Increase by 129%

The “Abbott Elementary” holiday special, titled “Winter Show,” spread some festive cheer with a significant increase in viewership. After seven days on various platforms, including ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and digital platforms, the special drew in 6.66 million Total Viewers and earned a rating of 2.14 in Adults 18-49. This marked a substantial rise from its initial Live+Same Day audience, with a whopping +129% increase in Total Viewers and a remarkable +410% in Adults 18-49.

This holiday episode stands out as the top multiplatform telecast in Total Viewers since the show’s post-Oscars® episode in March. Additionally, it achieved the best Wednesday Total Viewer audience in nine months. In terms of Live+7 ratings, “Abbott Elementary” boasted a 0.64 rating in Adults 18-49, reaching season highs and delivering the strongest episode since the season three finale.

So far, “Abbott Elementary” has proven to be a hit, ranking as the top broadcast comedy in Adults 18-49 based on current cross-platform Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings. Fans can look forward to the post-midseason break return of the Emmy® Award-winning show with an exciting crossover episode with “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” on January 8th at 8:30 p.m. EST/PST.
