Watch Petersburg native Belinda Todd in ‘The Perfect Christmas’ with this streaming guide

Did you miss watching Petersburg native Belinda Todd on the big screen in December last year? She stars as Rosaline, the grandmother in the “The Perfect Christmas,” an independent film written, directed and produced by Anthony Hackett of Maryland.

According to a video posted on Facebook, which features Hackett, “The Perfect Christmas” movie was released early this summer in July accidentally by STARZ, but they took it down because it was not supposed to be made available until November.

In the family-friendly Christmas comedy, the Perfects, Michael, his wife Denise, and their two children Devin and Michelle, experience a nostalgic holiday that takes place mostly over the course of Christmas Eve. The feature film explores faith, family and holiday fun.

The family’s hilarious journey leading up to Christmas includes a personal vendetta with a snowman, an awkward family lunch, a home invasion and other crazy predicaments that threaten their opportunity for the perfect Christmas.

“‘The Perfect Christmas’ was hilarious. We laughed loudly and often. Engaging music and some unexpected plot twists kept it interesting. It also shows the true meaning of Christmas,” Jackie Mitchell commented on Hackett’s Facebook post.

Gina Anderson Ford stated on Facebook that she enjoyed it and is ready to watch it again.

Petersburg native Belinda Todd shared, “I am thrilled that our movie has gotten this kind of attention. It is a testament to producer and director Anthony Hackett’s talent, vision and faith along with the awesome favor of God.”

According to Todd, she just finished another film last month by Maryland filmmaker Joslyn “Jahsi” Vance. “The Shop,” a Christian-based comedy that takes place in an upscale beauty salon, will be released in 2025 for private screening, film festival submissions and streaming.
