Billy Bob Thornton discusses fixer role in oil drama ‘Landman’

Now with Jacob, he’s really just terrific, and I think that’s what you need in a show like that. You know, he plays Tommy’s son, and they have a very interesting relationship. Young actors bring something that just can’t be duplicated any other way. And when you have someone like Jacob, who’s just so talented, it makes my job a lot easier.
I mean, some of the scenes that we do – like very early on with that kid – you know, it just blows you away, you know? You watch that and you’re like, this kid’s a natural, you know?
So yeah, it’s very rewarding. I’ve actually recommended Jacob for some other parts on other shows.
