Award-Winning Documentary “EDITH” Available on Prime Video Direct
An incredible documentary telling the captivating story of a very special Porsche 911 named ‘Edith’ is now available to stream on Prime Video through Prime Video Direct in the United States and the United Kingdom. The film, titled “EDITH: Porsche’s Volcano Ascent,” took four and a half years to create and premiered at Monterey Car Week. It later went on to win the prestigious ‘Best Documentary Feature’ at the 2024 International Motor Film Awards.
This 50-minute documentary, crafted by independent filmmakers TangentVector, chronicles the challenging journey of a small team aiming to drive to the peak of the world’s highest volcano, Ojos del Salado, in Chile, in a specially designed Porsche 911 named Edith. The project was far from easy, with success only coming after two failed attempts.
J.F. Musial, Co-founder of TangentVector, shared, “It’s wonderful that the story can now be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home. This project was a true labor of passion and perseverance, showcasing the team’s dedication, fears, defeat, belief, and ultimate triumph over four years in extreme conditions.”
Operating at altitudes exceeding 20,000 feet, battling freezing temperatures, and enduring reduced oxygen levels due to extreme altitude, the project tested both the team and the car to their limits, resulting in a compelling and deeply human narrative.
Initially available in the United States and the United Kingdom, the documentary is set to release in other regions, including mainland Europe.
