Dexter: Original Sin UK Release Date, Cast, Episode Guide, and Where to Watch
Dexter fans, rejoice! Our favourite fictional vigilante is back in the new prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin, streaming on Paramount+. If you’re a fan of the original Dexter series that ran from 2006 to 2013, as well as the spin-off Dexter: New Blood in 2021, you won’t want to miss this new installment.
In Dexter: Original Sin, set in 1991 Miami, we get to see Dexter at the beginning of his murderous journey. As a child, Dexter witnessed his mother’s brutal murder, leaving him scarred for life. Adopted by Miami police officer Harry Morgan, played by Christian Slater, Dexter struggles to suppress his sociopathic tendencies. Under the guidance of his adoptive father, Dexter learns to channel his bloodlust into vigilantism, hunting down those who deserve to be eliminated from society.
The prequel series stars Patrick Gibson as a young Dexter Morgan, transitioning from a student to a Miami Police forensics intern. Gibson takes over the role from Michael C. Hall, who provided the voice of Dexter’s inner monologue in this series. Christian Slater stars as Harry Morgan, Molly Brown plays Debra Morgan, and Sarah Michelle Gellar appears as crime scene investigation chief Tanya Martin.
Dexter fans in the UK can stream Dexter: Original Sin exclusively on Paramount+. The first episode premiered on Friday, and the remaining nine episodes will be released weekly until the finale on 14 February.
