The exciting performance will kick off on Wednesday, December 11, at 7 p.m., and will be available for streaming on Amazon Music and Prime Video through the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. This year marks the first time that this holiday extravaganza will be accessible to a global audience.

Belmont University’s Anne Sherrod will be a part of this musical celebration, which promises to be a delightful mix of traditional carols, classical masterpieces, and seasonal favorites. The event is not just a typical Christmas concert; it offers a diverse lineup featuring various musical genres like choral, orchestral, pop, percussion, country, bluegrass, and more.

Director of choral activities, Jeffery Ames, highlighted the unique structure of the performance, emphasizing the range of musical talents that will be on display. With over 15 student choirs and ensembles participating, including the Belmont Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, Southbound (country), and Voxology (gospel, R&B), viewers can expect a dynamic and engaging 90-minute show.

Adding to the excitement, the concert will feature guest appearances from accomplished Belmont alumni such as Ashley Cooke, Cody Fry, and Dwan Hill. These rising stars will not only perform alongside student ensembles but also provide valuable mentorship and inspiration backstage and during rehearsals.

Ashley Cooke, a recent Belmont graduate and budding country music sensation, has already achieved a No. 1 hit and received accolades for her music video at the 2024 CMT Awards. Cody Fry, a distinguished commercial music alum, earned a Grammy nomination for his unique orchestral rendition of “Eleanor Rigby.” Additionally, Dwan Hill, a Grammy and Dove award-winning artist, will showcase his musical expertise alongside The Choir Room, a nonprofit organization he founded.

Through “Christmas at Belmont: Live from Nashville,” Belmont University continues to uphold its commitment to nurturing creativity and offering comprehensive musical education.
