Lions vs Packers game attracts 17.29 million viewers on NFL streaming platform

The Detroit Lions really brought in the viewers last Thursday night with their impressive 34-31 comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers. In fact, the game set a new record for the most-streamed NFL regular-season game in history, attracting a whopping 17.29 million viewers. This also marked Amazon Prime Video’s most-watched game since they took over the prime-time package in 2022.

Nielsen reported that the audience peaked at 18.87 million viewers during the first half of the game, from 9:15-9:30 p.m. EST, setting yet another new high. The previous record for “Thursday Night Football on Prime” was 16.23 million viewers, set during the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the New York Giants on Sept. 26.

Throughout the season, “Thursday Night Football on Prime” is averaging 13.61 million viewers, showing a 9% increase over last year’s average at this point and a 15% jump over last year’s full-season average of 11.86 million. It’s clear that football fans are loving the action this season!
