ChiefsAholic Trailer Revealed by Prime Video Before Dec. 24 Premiere
Prime Video has just dropped the trailer for its upcoming true-crime documentary ChiefsAholic, and it looks gripping! The film follows the story of Xaviar Babudar, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and serial bank robber. Premiering on Dec. 24, ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chief’s Clothing promises to give viewers a deep dive into Babudar’s life.
After being sentenced to 17 and a half years in prison, with no chance of parole, for robbing 11 banks across seven states and stealing over $800,000, Babudar’s story is a fascinating one. Despite his crimes, he was a well-known figure at Arrowhead Stadium, where his gray wolf suit made him stand out among Chiefs Kingdom’s superfans.
While Babudar’s lawyer attributed his actions to a gambling addiction, the U.S. Attorney’s Office had a different take. According to senior litigation counsel Patrick Daly, Babudar’s motivation stemmed from an “addiction to fame.”
In addition to his prison time, Babudar was ordered to pay $10.8 million in damages to a bank teller he threatened during one of his robberies. ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chief’s Clothing promises to unravel the mysteries behind Babudar’s rise to fame and his eventual downfall. It’s set to be a must-watch for fans of true-crime storytelling.
