Emilia Pérez Earns Nomination at 82nd Annual Golden Globes

In the film category, the French musical crime film “Emilia Pérez,” available on Netflix, stole the spotlight with an impressive 10 nominations. Directed by Jacques Audiard and featuring stars like Zoe Saldana, Selena Gomez, and Karla Sofia Gascón, this film tells the story of a cartel boss starting fresh in a new life.
Following closely behind “Emilia Pérez” is A24’s historical drama film “The Brutalist,” with seven nods, and Focus Features’ mystery thriller film “Conclave,” with six nominations.
On the TV side of things, FX/Hulu’s psychological comedy-drama “The Bear” took the lead with five nominations, while Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” and FX/Hulu’s “Shogun” followed closely with four nominations each.
