Season 2 Release Date for Yellowstone 1923 Prequel Announced

The release date for Season 2 of the “Yellowstone” prequel series “1923” has been unveiled by Paramount+. Fans won’t have to wait long before diving back into the Dutton family saga in this captivating show.

Following the success of the limited series “1883” in 2021, “1923” focuses on a new generation of Duttons, led by patriarch Jacob and matriarch Cara, portrayed by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, respectively. Set against the backdrop of the early 20th century, the series delves into a time of pandemics, historic drought, and the end of Prohibition in the mountain west, home to the Dutton family.

For fans of “Yellowstone,” this prequel series provides a deeper look into the family’s roots, with Jacob and Cara Dutton serving as ancestors to the current-day Dutton ranch owner John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. Jacob is also the brother of James Dutton, portrayed by Tim McGraw in “1883.”
