Wilson Performance in Christmas at Belmont Live from Nashville on Amazon Music and Prime Video
Jillian Wilson, a Summerville native and 2024 Cane Bay High School graduate, is set to perform in the annual concert tradition, “Christmas at Belmont: Live from Nashville.” More than 600 student musicians and vocalists will come together for this festive event, which will be streamed globally on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11. This is the first time the concert will be available on a worldwide streaming platform.
The concert is not just your typical holiday choral-orchestral performance. According to Director of Choral Activities Dr. Jeffery Ames, the evening will feature a mix of musical genres, from poignant choral pieces to the latest pop hits, percussion ensembles, country, bluegrass, and orchestral performances, showcasing the diverse talents of Belmont University students.
Special guest appearances by Belmont alumni Ashley Cooke, Cody Fry, and Dwan Hill will add an extra layer of excitement to the event. Student ensembles will have the opportunity to share the stage with these talented alumni and learn from their experiences behind the scenes and during rehearsals.
“Christmas at Belmont Live from Nashville” is a celebration of Belmont’s dedication to fostering creativity and providing comprehensive musical education. The 90-minute performance will showcase over 15 student choirs and ensembles, including the Belmont Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, Southbound (country), Voxology (Gospel, R&B), and more.
The broadcast will kick off with a tune-in event at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. Viewers can enjoy the show throughout the holiday season via streaming. For more information about the event, visit belmont.edu/christmas.
