Kpg Jepak Hulu Jetty Revitalization to Stimulate Local Economy

Exciting news from Kampung Jepak Hulu! The new jetty that just got completed is all set to give a big boost to the local economy in the area, according to Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee. Funded under the Rural Transformation Project of his constituency, this project took three months to finish.

Not just for the fishermen, this new jetty will also benefit the local residents who rely on river transportation along Sungai Kemena to get to the other side of Bintulu’s town center. And if you visit Kampung Jepak Hulu, you can take in the beautiful scenery of Sungai Kemena and witness the rapid development of Bintulu town. Plus, you can try your hand at shrimp or fish fishing activities at the jetty.

Iskandar mentioned that the new jetty even has a solar-powered lighting system to assist the fishermen in the village. This project is part of the Sarawak government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure in rural areas because everyone living in rural areas deserves better facilities.
