David Oyelowo and Simone Missick Apple TV+ Series Spring Premiere
Apple TV+ has exciting news for fans of David Oyelowo and Simone Missick—their new series, Government Cheese, is set to premiere on April 16, 2025. The show, which consists of ten episodes, will kick off with the first four episodes available right away, followed by a weekly release schedule until May 28, 2025.
Created by Paul Hunter and Aeysha Carr, Government Cheese is a surreal family comedy set in the whimsical world of 1969 San Fernando Valley. The story follows the Chambers family as they navigate unconventional family dynamics and chase after seemingly impossible dreams. When Hampton Chambers (played by Oyelowo) returns from prison, the family reunion takes unexpected turns, throwing their world into chaos.
Joining Oyelowo and Missick are Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Evan Ellison, and a talented ensemble cast, including Bokeem Woodbine, Jeremy Bobb, Louis Cancelmi, Julien Heron Djilali Rez-Kallah, Louis Ferreira, Thomas Beaudoin, Kyle Mac, John Ortiz, and Adam Beach.
