Disney Plus subscribers now have access to ESPN+ content without an extra fee! If you have a standalone Disney Plus subscription, you may have noticed a new addition to your lineup. ESPN+ live sporting events and on-demand shows are now available to you at no additional cost.
Coming up, you can enjoy special events like The Simpsons Funday Football broadcast of the upcoming MNF game on December 9th. Plus, get ready for a lineup of five NBA games on Christmas Day, select 30 For 30 ESPN documentaries, and coverage of the Australian Open starting January 12, 2025.
But that’s not all! Standalone Disney Plus subscribers also get free access to select Hulu programs like Shōgun, Will Trent, Solar Opposites, and more.
Disney is gearing up to launch a separate streaming service for the cable and satellite version of ESPN. They hope to entice more standalone Disney Plus users to upgrade by offering bundles that include ESPN+ and/or Hulu. The standalone Disney Plus subscription with ads costs $9.99 per month, while the Disney/Hulu bundle with ads is $10.99 a month. And if you want the full bundle experience with Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN+, it starts at $16.99 a month.
Alisa Bowen, President of Disney+, is thrilled about this new launch. She mentioned, “One of the things I’m most excited about with this launch is that we’re also making the ESPN and Hulu tiles visible to all subscribers. That means, for our Disney+ standalone subscribers, they’ll have a really easy way to discover everything we offer from these two incredible brands, and have the ability to upgrade their subscription for the full bundle experience.”
So, go ahead and explore the added content on your Disney Plus account. Enjoy the best of ESPN+ and Hulu at no extra cost!
