Hulu boosts integration with ESPN+ featuring ESPN-inspired logo

Hulu recently announced its integration with ESPN+ by unveiling a temporary logo that combines elements of both brands. The new logo, which appeared on Hulu’s social media accounts on December 4, 2024, features letters inspired by ESPN’s post-1985 logo, incorporating angled shapes and an uppercase “H.”
Although the temporary logo is a fun twist on Hulu’s original design, the streaming service has confirmed that it will not be making this change permanent. The ESPN logo, introduced in 1985, served as the inspiration for this unique collaboration in branding.
The temporary logo maintains Hulu’s signature lime green color and retains the overall structure of the letters in its original logo. While it doesn’t perfectly align with ESPN’s logo design due to the differences in the letter shapes, the creative effort is evident in the merged visual elements.
This partnership follows Hulu’s earlier integration with Disney+, where the latter was added directly to the Hulu interface. In March 2024, Disney+ adopted a dark teal-green color scheme to complement Hulu’s green branding. Despite these visual changes, the Disney+ logo remained unchanged, reflecting a blend of both brands’ identities.
In recent years, Hulu has come under the ownership of Walt Disney through its streaming division. The acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019 gave Disney majority control over Hulu, with subsequent sales from WarnerMedia and Comcast solidifying Disney’s operational influence over the platform.
