Marian Price files lawsuit against Disney+ over murder scene in TV show
IRA bomber Marian Price is taking legal action against Disney+ for defamation after the TV show Say Nothing depicted her shooting Jean McConville, a widowed mother-of-10, during The Troubles. The series, based on Patrick Radden Keefe’s book, tells the story of McConville’s abduction, murder, and burial by the IRA in 1972. Marian Price, also known as Marian McGlinchey, has denied any involvement in the killing. McConville’s remains were discovered in 2003 in County Louth, and no one has been charged in connection with her death. This legal dispute stems from Price’s claim that the show’s portrayal has defamed her character.
