Apple TV+ Casts Anya Taylor-Joy in Lucky Series
Apple TV+ has just made a big announcement, signing the talented Anya Taylor-Joy to star in their upcoming series, Lucky. Known for her roles in The Queen’s Gambit and Furiosa, Taylor-Joy will also be taking on the role of executive producer for this adaptation of Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel.
The series, developed by Apple Studios and Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine, is set to be a major addition to the Apple TV+ lineup. Lucky tells the story of a young woman who has left her criminal past behind, only to be forced to confront it once again in order to escape her dangerous roots. The show is created and co-showrun by Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas, with Tropper also serving as an executive producer alongside Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter.
