Paramount+ Secures Partnership with Coupang Play in South Korea
Paramount Global Content Distribution has secured a deal with Coupang Play in South Korea to bring a Paramount+ branded destination to viewers. This new hub, set to launch in early 2025, follows the conclusion of a previous partnership between Paramount and CJ ENM for a Paramount+ hub on TVing in Korea earlier this year.
Paramount Global Content Distribution has been actively forming similar partnerships for Paramount+ around the world, with agreements in place with platforms such as Cosmote in Greece, Streamz in Belgium, MultiChoice in Africa, JioCinema in India, Mono in Thailand, beIN in the Middle East and North Africa, and Blast TV in the Philippines. The new collaboration with Coupang Play aims to cater to Korean audiences by offering a wide range of entertainment content, including critically acclaimed films, fan-favorite series, and original programs.
Dan Cohen, the Chief Content Licensing Officer at Paramount and President of Republic Pictures, expressed excitement about expanding the relationship with Coupang to provide Korean viewers with content they love.
