Karl Holmes Named Head of Disney+ EMEA Business in Europe, Middle East, and Africa
Disney+ in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, starting in January. With extensive experience in the media industry, including roles at Sky as Chief Operating Officer for Europe and various key positions, Holmes is well-equipped to lead Disney+ in the EMEA region.
Taking on the role of Senior Vice President for Direct-to-Consumer and General Manager for EMEA, Holmes succeeds Luke Bradley-Jones, another former Sky executive who previously held the position. Reporting directly to Jan Koeppen, president of Walt Disney EMEA, and Joe Earley, president of Direct-to-Consumer at Disney Entertainment, Holmes will oversee regional teams and help drive the success of Disney+ in the region.
Koeppen expressed confidence in Holmes, noting that his experience comes at a pivotal moment for Disney’s direct-to-consumer business in the EMEA region. Emphasizing Disney+’s award-winning content, Koeppen believes Holmes’ expertise will contribute to the continued success of the platform.
