Christian Lee Discusses Goals for Honoring Victoria and Helping Youth with New Prodigy
his fans around the world that he is one of the best fighters in MMA today. Since his last fight, Lee has been through some personal challenges. After the loss of his younger sister, Victoria Lee, he decided to close his family’s gym, United MMA.
During this time, he continued training and supporting his younger brother, Adrian “The Phenom” Lee, who was getting ready for his professional debut in ONE. Lee also ran a nonprofit organization focused on providing training and a safe space for local youth.
To keep the nonprofit running, Lee renovated the family gym and reopened it as Prodigy Training Center. The goal of the center is to offer free training and support to kids who may not be able to afford it otherwise. Lee shared, “The main thing that drove everything was giving back to the community.”
Now, Prodigy Training Center is growing quickly, with both casual martial artists and aspiring professionals training there. While Lee has ambitions for himself and the fighters he mentors, his main focus remains on giving back to the community. He wants to expand the gym to support more people and continue his nonprofit work.
The name of the gym holds special meaning for Lee, as it is a tribute to his late sister, Victoria, who was known as “The Prodigy” for her exceptional martial arts skills. Both Lee brothers proudly wear the Prodigy Training Center logo as a way to honor and remember her in their fights.
In addition to his personal goals, Christian Lee is dedicated to nurturing a team of talented fighters from Hawaii. He is especially proud of his brother, Adrian, who has already found success in ONE Championship. Lee believes that seeing Adrian’s achievements motivates the students at Prodigy Training Center to push themselves even harder.
While Lee is focused on defending his title in his upcoming fight, he also devotes time to coaching and developing future MMA stars. He hopes that the talent he nurtures will one day make a mark on the international MMA scene and represent Prodigy Training Center on the world stage.
