Mishawaka Man Charged in Shooting at Hickory Village Apartments
A Mishawaka man has been charged after allegedly shooting another man in the chest at Hickory Village Apartments. Joshua Peacock, 48, is facing charges of battery by means of a deadly weapon following an incident at his apartment earlier this week.
During a 911 call made by the victim, a gunshot was reportedly heard, with investigators stating that Peacock was heard making threats to the victim. Peacock was taken into custody shortly after officers arrived on the scene, while the victim was hospitalized for treatment of his injuries.
According to court documents, Peacock was intoxicated at the time of the incident and was unable to provide officers with details about what had occurred. He is set to appear in court for his arraignment on Monday, Dec. 2.
