Venom Actor Joins Hollywood Icons in New Guy Ritchie Series on Paramount+
A trio of Hollywood heavyweights is teaming up for an exciting new project on Paramount+. Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan are set to star in a series from acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett. Originally rumored to be a spin-off of the popular Showtime series Ray Donovan, the project has now evolved into a standalone series with no ties to the original show. While the series was previously referred to as “The Associate”, Variety reports that it is currently an untitled project. Production is underway in London, with a planned debut on Paramount+ in 2025.
Tom Hardy, known for his role in Venom, reunites with Guy Ritchie, with whom he previously collaborated on the 2008 film ‘Rocknrolla’. The show’s description reveals that it revolves around two rival families in London, their global enterprises, and a devoted “fixer” who is tasked with protecting one of them at any cost. Tom will portray Harry Da Souza, a professional mediator working for the Harrigan family. Pierce will take on the role of Conrad Harrigan, the powerful head of an Irish crime family in London that Harry represents. Helen is set to play Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and the family’s matriarch.
Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, expressed his excitement about the project, praising the talent of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, calling them masters of their craft. Fans on Reddit have been buzzing with excitement over the stellar cast, with one user calling it a “great cast”, while others expressed eagerness to see British crime drama with Ritchie’s touch and the phenomenal cast. The series is set to premiere in 2025 on Paramount+, and with this powerhouse cast and creative team, audiences are in for a treat.
