Greetings sports fans! Here’s a rundown of the exciting sporting events happening in our area:

High school boys basketball action includes Evergreen taking on Burlington-Edison on Friday at 7:15 p.m., Mount Rainier facing Kentlake on Saturday at 3 p.m., and Ballard playing against Shorewood on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

For girls basketball, Foster plays Ingraham on Saturday at 3 p.m, Chief Sealth competes against Lindbergh on Monday at 5:30 p.m, and West Seattle plays Orting on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Looking at the pros, the Seahawks go head-to-head with the Jets on Sunday at 10 a.m., and the Sounders take on the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday at 7 p.m.

In hockey news, the Kraken play the Sharks in a series of games starting Friday at 12:30 p.m, Saturday at 7 p.m, and Tuesday at 4 p.m.
