Prime Video Reveals Sneak Peek of The Rig Season 2 in Supernatural Thriller
Prime Video has unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming second season of the highly-anticipated thriller series, The Rig. Set to debut in January 2025, the six-part series was filmed at FirstStage Studios in Edinburgh, Scotland, following the success of the first season, which premiered in 2023 and garnered widespread acclaim in the UK and internationally.
The upcoming season will feature the return of familiar faces such as Iain Glen from Game of Thrones, Martin Compston from Line of Duty, Emily Hampshire from Schitt’s Creek, and Rochenda Sandall from Criminal: UK, among others. Joining the cast are new additions including Ross Anderson, Phil McKee, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Johannes Roaldsen Fürst, and Alice Krige, promising an exciting mix of talent for viewers to look forward to.
The storyline for the second season of The Rig takes a dramatic turn as helicopters transport the surviving crew of the Kinloch Bravo to a newly established secret offshore facility known as the Stac, located in the treacherous landscapes of the Arctic Circle. Here, the crew must grapple with the aftermath of a destructive tsunami that obliterated the Bravo, while facing internal and external challenges ranging from corporate conflicts to mysterious threats emerging from the depths of the ocean.
