Apple TV+ starts filming Silo Series 3 in UK studio – Latest Updates
The filming for the third season of the dystopian drama series, Silo, is set to commence this week at a studio in the UK. Silo is based on Hugh Howey’s popular Silo trilogy, consisting of Wool, Shift, and Dust. The storyline revolves around a community of the last 10,000 survivors on Earth who reside in a massive silo underground to shield themselves from the deadly external environment. The inhabitants are unaware of the origins of the silo or the reasons behind its construction. Those who attempt to uncover the truth are met with fatal consequences.
Graham Yost is responsible for adapting the original material, with actress Rebecca Ferguson serving as one of the executive producers. The series is being filmed at Hoddesdon Studios in Hertfordshire. Silo is being produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios, with a lineup of executive producers including Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios.
The second season of the series is slated to air next month after a hiatus during the latter part of 2023 due to labor strikes in the US. Production for the second season wrapped up earlier this year. The cast includes prominent actors such as Steve Zahn, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.
The upcoming season of Silo promises to delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding the silo and its inhabitants, offering viewers a thrilling and suspenseful narrative. With a talented cast and crew at the helm, fans can anticipate an engaging and immersive viewing experience as the series continues to captivate audiences with its unique and intriguing storyline.
