JB Smoove offers a sneak peek of hosting ‘Buy It Now’
A new and exciting game show is set to debut on Prime Video, hosted by the Emmy-winning actor and comedian JB Smoove, known for his roles in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Mapleworth Murders." The show, titled "Buy It Now," offers entrepreneurs a unique platform to showcase their products to a live audience called "The 100." In a fast-paced pitch session lasting 90 seconds, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to impress The 100 with their product and pricing.
If the audience members are impressed, the entrepreneurs move on to a panel consisting of Amazon executives and celebrity entrepreneurs. This panel will decide which products will be featured in Amazon’s exclusive Buy It Now Store. Additionally, each episode will see one lucky entrepreneur walk away with a prize of $20,000.
JB Smoove expressed his enthusiasm for the show, highlighting the opportunity it provides for innovative entrepreneurs to gain exposure in front of a vast audience. He emphasized his role in supporting and motivating the participants, aiming to prepare them for success on the show. The rotating panel of celebrity entrepreneurs includes well-known figures such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Anderson, Tabitha Brown, Tony Hawk, and Christian Siriano.
Smoove emphasized the positive impact of the show, stating, "We are in the happy business, and you need people who believe in people." "Buy It Now" is set to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 30, with the first three episodes available for streaming on Prime Video. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly as part of Prime Video’s "Winning Wednesdays" programming.
