"Peacock Twisters Premiere Date Scheduled for November"
Peacock has revealed that Universal’s summer blockbuster, Twisters, will make its streaming debut on November 15, 2024. The film, rated PG-13 for intense action and peril, some language, and injury images, enjoyed a successful run in theaters before heading to the streaming service.
Twisters, a thrilling disaster epic, follows Kate, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, who transitions from storm chasing in Oklahoma to studying tornadoes from the safety of New York City after a harrowing tornado encounter. However, a scientific opportunity and the persuasion of her friend Javi, portrayed by Anthony Ramos, bring her back to the field where she meets Tyler, a charismatic tornado enthusiast portrayed by Glen Powell.
As storm season unfolds with unprecedented and dangerous weather phenomena, Kate and Tyler must join forces to navigate the treacherous tornados and ensure their survival. The film boasts a talented cast including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, David Corenswet, Maura Tierney, and Sasha Lane.
Twisters was helmed by director Lee Isaac Chung from a screenplay by Mark L. Smith. The story, based on characters created by Michael Crichton and Anne-Marie Martin, was brought to life by producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. Notable executive producers include Steven Spielberg, Thomas Hayslip, and Ashley Jay Sandberg, with the score composed by Benjamin Wallfisch.
