John Walsh Wins CrimeCon’s 2024 Clue Award Alongside Hulu, NBC, and Netflix

At the CrimeCon convention’s annual Clue Awards on Saturday night, Hulu, NBC, Netflix, Black and Missing, Hachette Books, and CBC Podcasts emerged as the winners. The event saw Dateline NBC’s “The Murdaugh Murders: Inside the Investigation” securing the outstanding docuseries award, while Hulu’s “Me Hereafter” claimed the top episodic series prize and Netflix’s “Cyberbunker: The Criminal Underworld” took home the top documentary film accolade.

Among the distinguished winners were John Walsh, the host and creator of “America’s Most Wanted,” who received the “Crimefighter of the Year” award. Laura Tierney, a senior inspector with the U.S. Marshals Service, was honored with the title of “America’s Greatest Detective.” Additionally, Kimberly Arnold and Katie Mitchell, co-hosts of the Dateline recap podcast “A Date with Dateline,” were recognized with the “People’s Choice Awards: Creator of the Year” honor.

The ceremony was hosted by NewsNation anchor Ashleigh Banfield. The winners in various categories at the 2024 Clue Awards encompassing television, podcasting, film, and publishing included:

Winners of the Clue Awards were determined by a panel of producers, network and streaming executives, as well as other creatives and industry leaders from prominent companies. The CrimeCon event took place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville from May 31 to June 2.
