John Walsh, Hulu, NBC, and Netflix Win Prestigious Clue Awards at CrimeCon 2024
The annual Clue Awards at the CrimeCon convention on Saturday night saw Hulu, NBC, Netflix, Black and Missing, Hachette Books, and CBC Podcasts emerge as the winners. Among the top prizes were Dateline NBC’s “The Murdaugh Murders: Inside the Investigation” winning outstanding docuseries, Hulu’s “Me Hereafter” claiming the top episodic series, and Netflix’s “Cyberbunker: The Criminal Underworld” being named the top documentary film.
“America’s Most Wanted” host and creator John Walsh graciously accepted the “Crimefighter of the Year” award, presented to him by The Gabby Petito Foundation. Laura Tierney, a senior inspector with the U.S. Marshals Service in the missing child unit, was honored with the title of “America’s Greatest Detective.” Additionally, Kimberly Arnold and Katie Mitchell, co-hosts of the Dateline recap podcast “A Date with Dateline,” were recognized with the Clue’s “People’s Choice Awards: Creator of the Year” accolade.
NewsNation anchor Ashleigh Banfield hosted the ceremony, where winners across various categories were celebrated. The event showcased outstanding achievements in television, podcasting, film, and publishing.
