Fictional Series ‘Dick Turpin’s Imaginary Adventures’ Gets Season Renewal
Apple TV+ has announced the renewal of the adventure comedy series “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” for a second season, featuring Noel Fielding in the lead role.
The British show, which premiered globally on March 1, follows the escapades of 18th-century highwayman Dick Turpin and his band of outlaws. Apple TV+ described the series as a humorous take on Turpin’s exploits, including encounters with fame and the challenges that come with his new endeavors.
Created by Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, and Stuart Lane, the show’s first season featured a talented ensemble cast that included Duayne Boachie, Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Asim Chaudry, Mark Heap, and Hugh Bonneville as a ruthless thief-taker.
As of now, details regarding casting and the premiere date for the upcoming season have not been disclosed. The production is helmed by Big Talk Studios, a division of ITV Studios, and is written by Richard Naylor and Jon Brittain, with Fielding also contributing to the writing.
