Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, will also be back in action in Cape Town.

The series recently announced the casting of four villains for the new season. Additionally, new cast members include Brendan Sean Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Clive Russell as Crocus, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Werner Coetser as Dorry. More cast additions are expected to be revealed at a later date.

Based on Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga series, “One Piece” made its debut in August 2023 and quickly secured a renewal for a second season. The live-action adaptation is a collaboration between Shueisha, ITV Studios’ Tomorrow Studios, and Netflix. Matt Owens and Joe Tracz are the co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers of the series.

Executive producers include Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements from Tomorrow Studios, along with Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, and Steven Maeda. Maeda, who previously served as co-showrunner with Owens, stepped down for the second season, and Joe Tracz, known for his work on “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” has taken over the role.

Fans can catch a preview of the production start in a video shared by Netflix. The second season of “One Piece” promises to bring more adventures and excitement to viewers as the crew sets sail for new challenges.
