NASCAR Partners with Eric Church and John Fogerty for New Anthem
NASCAR has exciting news for fans! They’ve joined forces with Eric Church and John Fogerty to create a new anthem for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series. This anthem is a fresh take on Fogerty’s classic hit “Up Around The Bend.” The full song will debut on May 25, just in time for Prime Video’s coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Fans can look forward to streaming the new anthem exclusively on Amazon Music starting on May 25. Plus, there’s a special solo version by Eric Church to enjoy as well. To give you a taste of what’s to come, there’s a preview video out now featuring analysts Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte, along with Cup Series Star Chase Elliott.
Stacey Rosenson, Head of U.S. Sports Marketing at Prime Video, shared, “Working with both Eric Church and John Fogerty on this project has given our coverage a unique sound that perfectly captures the spirit of NASCAR. By incorporating the anthem into our new commercial with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Steve Letarte, and Chase Elliott, we’re bringing the heartbeat of NASCAR directly to fans, promising a one-of-a-kind, fun viewing experience.”
This collaboration comes right before Eric Church’s album release, “Evangeline vs. The Machine,” on May 2. Meanwhile, John Fogerty, leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, is gearing up for a tour in celebration of his upcoming 80th birthday.
Starting May 25, Prime Video will be the exclusive streaming home for five consecutive NASCAR Cup Series races to close out the first half of the season. Additionally, Prime Video will provide exclusive coverage of practice and qualifying for most of the first half of the NASCAR season. So mark your calendars and get ready to experience NASCAR like never before!
