Netflix is gearing up to release another installment in its Fear Street series with Fear Street: Prom Queen, set to start streaming on May 23, 2025. Director Matt Palmer shared that this standalone story, set in 1988, will bring a fresh take unconnected to the previous Fear Street movies.
The movie’s trailer is set to drop on April 29, offering us a peek into the prom season at Shadyside High. The plot follows an unexpected nominee to the court and mysterious disappearances among the school’s It Girls, leading to a thrilling prom night for the class of ’88.
The ensemble cast brings together talented actors like India Fowler, Suzanna Son, and Fina Strazza, alongside familiar faces like Chris Klein, Lili Taylor, and Katherine Waterston. The screenplay, based on R.L. Stine’s book, was penned by Matt Palmer and Donald McLeary.
