May 2025 Prime Video Releases

Amazon hasn’t released a full list of what’s on the way to Prime Video in May, but we do know about some exciting original content heading our way. Set to premiere on May 1 is “Another Simple Favor,” a comedy-mystery film by Paul Feig and the sequel to the 2018 hit “A Simple Favor.” Starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, the film follows Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson as they navigate a murder at Emily’s wedding in beautiful Capri, Italy. Joining them is a stellar cast including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Michele Morrone, and Allison Janney.

Looking ahead to the end of the month, we have the eight-episode thriller series “The Better Sister” hitting screens on May 29. Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks star as estranged sisters who must come together when one of their husbands is murdered. The show is based on Alafair Burke’s novel of the same name.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s narration in the two-part nature documentary “Octopus!” on May 8, featuring an appearance by Tracy Morgan. On May 23, Jeremy Clarkson is back with season 3 of “Clarkson’s Farm,” and you won’t want to miss David Spade’s new special “Dandelion” on May 6. Additionally, A24 brings us Benito Skinner’s college comedy-drama “Overcompensating” on May 15.

With so much original content on the horizon, May is shaping up to be an exciting month for Prime Video viewers. Stay tuned for more updates!
