McDonald’s New McCrispy Strips: Everything You Should Know

onald’s added a new permanent menu item. After realizing they were falling behind in the chicken wars with other fast-food chains, McDonald’s decided to reintroduce the fan-favorite McCrispy Strips.

According to msn.com, starting May 5th, McDonald’s will begin selling McCrispy Strips, which are all-white chicken tenders coated in crispy, golden-brown breading. These tenders are an extension of the chain’s popular crispy chicken sandwich, which made its debut in 2021 following the success of a similar item at Popeyes.

Initially removed from the menu in 2020, McCrispy Strips are making a triumphant return. What’s more, customers can now enjoy a new dipping sauce option called Creamy Chili Dip. But for fans like me, I hope they’ll also bring back the beloved hot mustard sauce that’s typically served with Nuggets—it’s a personal favorite.

With the rise of chicken as a staple fast-food option, McDonald’s found itself in a bit of a pickle, prompting the return of McCrispy Strips. Not only does this move cater to changing tastes, but it also brings the company closer to addressing another customer demand—the highly requested “Snack Wrap” menu item.

As someone who is excited about this news, I can’t wait to get my hands on those crispy strips, especially if they come with that delicious hot mustard sauce. McDonald’s is making its first permanent menu addition in four years, and it’s a step in the right direction for fans of their chicken offerings.
