Netflix’s ‘Sirens’ Trailer: The Vibes Are Off (Intentionally)
Netflix just dropped the trailer for its latest series, Sirens, and let me tell you, it definitely gives off some eerie vibes. The show, created by Molly Smith Metzler of Maid fame, stars Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock. Fahy plays Devon, who sets out to rescue her sister Simone, played by Alcock, from the clutches of a strange and wealthy family led by Julianne Moore’s character, Michaela Kell. The tagline reads, “Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell.”
In the trailer, you’ll notice that the bass line from Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” plays on loop, adding to the overall unsettling atmosphere. Alongside Fahy, Alcock, and Moore, the cast also includes Kevin Bacon, Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp, and Felix Solis. Metzler’s play, Elemeno Pea, served as the inspiration for Sirens, marking the first project under her deal with Netflix following the success of Maid.
Molly Smith Metzler leads the show as the showrunner and executive producer under her Quiet Coyote banner. With an intriguing premise and an incredible cast, Sirens is gearing up to be a must-watch series for fans of mysterious, thrilling dramas.
