Hayden Christensen to reprise role as Anakin Skywalker in ‘Ahsoka’ season 2
Hayden Christensen is bringing Anakin Skywalker back to the screen for the upcoming season of Ahsoka. The actor confirmed this exciting news during a panel at Star Wars Celebration, sharing that Anakin will make his return in season 2. Rosario Dawson, who stars as the lead character Ahsoka, expressed her gratitude for Christensen’s return.
Fans will remember Christensen’s portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in previous Star Wars films like Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. After a brief voice cameo in The Rise of Skywalker, he made his comeback in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi in 2022 as Darth Vader. He then reprised the role of Anakin in Ahsoka in 2023.
In addition to Christensen’s return, showrunner Dave Filoni announced the return of other beloved characters for the upcoming season, such as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ezra Bridger, Hera Syndulla, and the droid Chopper. Filoni promised more action for Hera Syndulla and emphasized the increased presence of Chopper in response to fan enthusiasm.
The panel also revealed that Rory McCann will take on the role of Baylan Skoll, previously portrayed by Ray Stevenson, who sadly passed away in 2023. The teaser for the upcoming season showcased concept art, hinting at an adventure spanning two galaxies with old friends, the powers of the occult, and ancient machines from a dark past.
