Chevy, Cadillac and GMC EVs to Offer In-Car Video Streaming
General Motors is stepping up their game with in-car video streaming for their EVs, and even some gas cars, allowing you to watch movies and play games while parked and taking a charging break. Apps like Amazon Prime Video, Max, Google Chrome, and Angry Birds will be available on Chevy, Cadillac, and GMC models.
A spokesperson for General Motors confirmed that streaming video services from providers like Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, and Max will be accessible on the in-car displays of their EVs. You’ll have the option to enjoy some entertainment or play games during your charging break, enhancing your driving experience. These services can be added through the “Pass Time While Parked” section of the Google Play Store.
While this feature was initially announced for cars like the Cadillac Optiq, Chevy Tahoe, and Chevy Suburban, Chevy has now revealed that this update will extend to existing EV models like the Equinox EV, Blazer EV, and GMC Sierra EV as well. Although specific models were not confirmed, the rollout is expected to be widespread, given the similarities in software across all Ultium cars. So, if you’re interested in upgrading your in-car entertainment experience, keep an eye out for this exciting update on your GM vehicle.
