Adolescence Breaks Viewer Record in 1923 – Dark Horizons
Just over a month since its Netflix debut, the compelling crime drama series “Adolescence” has skyrocketed to become the streamer’s third most popular English-language TV show ever. With an impressive 124 million views to date and currently ranking second in this week’s English TV statistics with 9.7 million views, the series has overtaken the Evan Peters-led hit “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”
While “Adolescence” continues to captivate viewers, it falls just short of the popularity of “Wednesday” and the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” both of which are highly anticipated with new seasons on the horizon.
On the other hand, Paramount+ is attracting a massive viewership with the “Yellowstone” prequel series finale, “1923.” The conclusion of the prequel reportedly drew in a global audience of fourteen million within the first week of its release. This marks a significant 41% increase over the viewership of the first season finale. Additionally, the average viewership for the second season of “1923” has surged by 46% compared to the first season.
Next in line is “1944,” the upcoming “Yellowstone” prequel on Paramount+, which promises an exploration of the impact of World War II on the iconic Yellowstone Ranch and the Dutton family. Early details suggest a focus on a young John Duton II, the father of John Dutton III played by Kevin Costner, as the lead character in the new series.
