Adolescence Ranks as 3rd Most Popular Show on Netflix, Surpassing ‘Dahmer’

“Adolescence” has become the third most-watched Netflix series ever, racking up over 124 million views since its premiere in March. This British drama, which follows the story of a 13-year-old who kills a classmate, has surpassed the viewership of “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” and is sparking conversations worldwide. It now sits behind only “Wednesday” and “Stranger Things” Season 4 as one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform.

In other news, “Black Mirror” made a comeback with Season 7, securing the No. 4 spot on the English TV list with over 7 million views. The latest episodes have been a hit in 71 countries, reaching the No. 1 spot in the U.S. Netflix’s first Canadian original series, “North of North,” also made its debut and landed in the No. 9 spot with 3 million views.

The momentum for the limited series “Adolescence” continued as it grabbed the No. 2 spot on the English TV list, garnering 9.7 million views for the week. However, it was the docuseries “Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing” that stole the top spot with 9.8 million views. “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer” held steady at No. 6 with 3.8 million views, and “Love on the Spectrum” made its way onto the list for the second week in a row with 3.6 million views.

On the medical drama front, “Pulse” claimed the No. 3 spot with 8.5 million views, while “Devil May Cry” landed at No. 5 with 5.1 million views.

Shifting gears to movies, “The Life List,” featuring Sofia Carson, remained at the top of the English films list with 13 million views. Unfortunately, “The Electric State,” starring Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown, did not crack the top 10 this week.
