Jerry Peacock Waycross Journal-Herald: A Comprehensive Overview

Jerry Ward Peacock, a beloved member of the Blackshear community, passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born and raised in Blackshear, Jerry was a proud graduate of Blackshear High School in 1966. Known for his kind heart and infectious spirit, Jerry owned and operated Peacock Septic Tank Service for many years, a business he cherished and considered more than just a job.

Jerry was a man of many interests. He found joy in watching western movies, marveling at airplanes, and attending air shows. His deep love for his late wife was evident in the care and devotion he showed her during her illness. Family and friends were also central to Jerry’s life, as he was devoted to those he cared about.

A faithful member of Blackshear First Baptist Church, Jerry actively served on the baptismal and audio/visual teams. Engaged in the community, he was a member of the Misfits Sunday School Class, bringing his warm personality and love for others to all his interactions.

The impact Jerry Ward Peacock had on those around him is immeasurable. His legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
